Debriefing, reflecting and processing all refer to the action of leading a group through a reflection process following an activity.
Level 1 – General Debriefing Questions
What are your thoughts?
Who did something good for someone else?
Who heard or saw something positive today?
What did you learn about the group?
What did you learn about yourself?
What was the most difficult part of the activity for you?
Level 2 – Sharing Phase
What happened?
Who had the same experience?
Who reacted differently?
Were there any surprises?
Level 3 – Interpreting Phase
How do you account for what happened?
How might it have been different?
What do you understand about yourself? Group?
Level 4 – Generalizing Phase
What did you learn?
What might we pull from this experience?
How does this relate to other experiences you have had?
Level 5 – Applying Phase
How can you apply that?
How could you make it better?
What might you do to help yourself?
