I am Kendal Lau, a student advocate at Tripp-Delmont School. I love where I am and what I do!! I grew up in western South Dakota and only a few years ago moved to the eastern side of the state where I found my dream job! Outside of my job I enjoy helping around the farm and spending time with all my family, friends, and animals (my best girl, Willow, is shown in the picture with me). On top of staying busy with work and home, my little family is growing in January with a little boy.
The work that has been started within our school from the Networks of Support has been incredible. At Tripp-Delmont, we are on year 3 of the peer mentoring program and I have seen so much positive change within the students from year one to year three. Each year the peer mentors set such an example for all the younger students within our school. The peer mentors help with so many things within the school, but I think the most important thing is that the younger students look up to them and have someone to go to. I could go on and on about how cool this program is and how much fun it is to see work within the school and community.
