Todd McGowan, MSW, LISCW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. He is an Adjunct Professor at the College of St, Scholastica in the Undergraduate program of Social Work and the Graduate program in Education. Todd works with a wide range of students and clients ranging from preschoolers to adults. He is the Multi-Tiered Systems and Supports (MTSS) and Social, Emotional/Behavioral (SEB) Coordinator for the Duluth Public School System. Todd has worked as a Special Education Social Worker, and at a district level, has developed systems that support student growth. He understands the developmental needs schools require, at a systems level, to foster growth and development of each student.
He is trained in Relational Cultural Theory and practice, which uses a variety of psychotherapy skills to address underlying relational issues related to connectedness and performance in school settings. He is trauma informed and understands life events can be a significant factor in school functioning.
